Adventure the lost art

It seems to me that society is losing capacity, Many people I meet today have no passion, no vision, no sense of destiny I have many favourite quotes one is you can sleep when your dead, which essentially means if there is something exciting/ different/ interesting going on then you should join in and sleep later. it seems to that people have become somewhat Zombified dependent on catching the fix of the latest show they are watching or have been recommended.

The other is you don’t know what you don’t know, I did not know at 18 that I would find passion in creating things with timber metal and fibreglass. I didn’t know that the shy scared of people person I was at 15 would come to love people and public speaking. I didn’t know that at the age of 48 I would take up jewellery making learning how to cut and facet gemstones. I didn’t know just how much fun I would find parenting. As I mentioned elsewhere I have sailed across oceans, been through a cat 2 cyclone with 140km winds and 80 foot waves. I have (accidently) swam with crocodiles and sharks, along the way I discovered horse riding, Kite surfing, Surfing, freediving, fishing, spearfishing, 4wding, hunting, prospecting, underwater hockey to name a few.

God created an amazing planet full of things to do find and explore so get up, get out and have an adventure….
